Pastor Mark Schumm
Pastor Mark Schumm was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. He grew up in Nebraska, graduating from Omaha Westside High School and attended another Big Ten university, graduating with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1984. After spending 10 years in the food and chemical process industry, Pastor Mark entered Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, where he graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree in 1998. He vicared at Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Colleyville, Texas, and most recently served the past eight years at Ascension Lutheran Church and School in Tucson, Arizona. Pastor Mark has been married to Joan for twenty three years. They have one son, John, who is majoring in biological engineering at another Big Ten university. Pastor Mark enjoys working with students and helping them to grow in their faith. He looks forward to working with Calvary to share the love of Jesus with the University of Wisconsin community.
